Morgan Walker has been named executive director of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra in Louisiana, effective in spring 2024. She succeeds Lois Robinson, who will retire after more than a decade as executive director. Walker began her career in orchestra management in 2016 with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra (Kentucky). In 2018, she was appointed to the position of the Paducah Symphony’s general manager, working alongside the orchestra’s CEO. Prioritizing financial sustainability, Walker steered major changes to the PSO’s brand and visibility, bringing new audiences into the concert hall and increasing earned revenue and donor engagement. Walker is a Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Kentucky’s Arts Administration program. Her love for classical music began at an early age, having been a member of community and collegiate choruses since childhood. In 2019, Walker completed the League of American Orchestras’ Essentials of Orchestra Management program.
